Day trip with a long stop in Portoferraio
Leaving the coast, we’ll enter the heart of the ancient Principality of Piombino, sailing along the stunning Etruscan coast and between the small islands of Cerboli and Palmaiola. Stopover in Portoferraio with the option to return on board for lunch. On the way back, as we skirt along the eastern side of Elba, you’ll be able to admire traces of the island’s ancient mining activities, and in some cases, we’ll offer a swimming stop from the boat. During the stop in Portoferraio, you can head to the beach or enjoy individual or guided tours. Details and booking below.

Elba long stop
Portoferraio (or Porto Azzurro), Cala Violina, Punta Ala, and Cerboli | departure from Castiglione della Pescaia at 9:00 a.m.
Leaving Castiglione, we’ll enter the heart of the ancient Principality of Piombino, sailing between the small islands of Cerboli and Palmaiola.
On the days when the boat continues to Capraia** Disembarkation at Portoferraio will take place for a full 8-hour stop, during which you can explore on your own or join the optional guided tours offered by local guides. The stop is long enough to allow for scooter rental to visit the beautiful beaches around Portoferraio or nearby villages.
On the days when only the mini-cruise to Elba takes place, disembarkation will take place at Portoferraio(or at Porto Azzurro, depending on sea and weather conditions),where you can join one of the guided tours offered by our guides or explore independently. After lunch, we’ll sail along the spectacular coasts of Elba and the Maremma, with the possibility of a swimming stop from the boat (only if weather and logistical conditions allow), near the mining coast of Elba, the small island of Cerboli, or along the Rocchette or Punta Ala coast. The professional commentary provided by our guides will offer in-depth insights into the history and nature of these areas. Return to Castiglione at approximately 6:50 p.m.
