Spectacular and fascinating, seen from the ancient perspective of the sea.

Portovenere, Cinque Terre, and the Gulf of Poets | from the Medici Port of Livorno, Elba dock at 8:15 AM – return at 7:30 PM | stops of 3h30m in Portovenere and 1h45m in Monterosso.

Here’s your chance to sail along the coast from Livorno all the way to Portovenere and the Cinque Terre… We’ll cruise past the sandy shores north of Livorno toward Bocca d’Arno, then continue to Bocca di Serchio, Versilia, Forte dei Marmi, and the Val di Magra, where we’ll enter the Liguria region. We’ll cross the Gulf of Poets toward the small islands of Palmaria, Tino, and Tinetto to explore the heart of Liguria’s protected marine areas: the Porto Venere Regional Park and the Cinque Terre National Park. After a stop in Portovenere — where lunch on board will also be available (by reservation) — we’ll continue along the breathtaking cliffs of the Cinque Terre, with villages clinging to the rocks and vineyards plunging toward the sea, until we reach Monterosso al Mare for another stop before returning to Livorno.

Why choose our ships: Why use a bus instead of a luxury coach? This is the most fitting comparison between the motorboats connecting La Spezia to the Cinque Terre and our motor vessel, La Superba: a true yacht where you can indulge in the luxury of a crossing while being pampered and entertained with fascinating information about Livorno, the Ligurian Sea, and the Tuscan Archipelago. You’ll enjoy numerous insights into the landscape and its history, thanks to the commentary from Guides, Biologists, Historians, and Geologists who are always on board. You’ll discover that the sandy shores north of Livorno hold captivating stories and points of interest, both geomorphological and historical-naturalistic. You’ll be impressed by the grandeur of the Apuan Alps just a few meters from the sea and the stunning coasts of the Gulf of Poets before entering the myth of Portovenere and the Cinque Terre.
