With a coastal navigation along the Maremma | Departures with LA FENICE (along the coast) or La SUPERBA (passing through the Formiche di Grosseto) | From Castiglione, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday; departure at 8:30 AM – return at 7:30 PM | From Talamone, every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday; departure at 9:50 AM – return at 6:30 PM.

Lasciata Castiglione della Pescaia costeggeremo la Maremma ed il territorio del Parco Regionale dell’Uccellina, in vista delle minuscole e poco note Formiche di Grosseto, (facendo scalo a Talamone ) prima di staccarci verso l’isola del Giglio. Durante le circa 6h di sosta sull’isola è possibile andare in spiaggia e girare individualmente oppure effettuare delle visite, libere o con le nostre guide. Si può pranzare a bordo o a terra. Di ritorno dal Giglio costeggeremo il parco dell’Uccellina e la foce dell’Ombrone. Total stop time at Giglio: 6 hours.

How the day unfolds.

Boarding in Castiglione starting at 8:00 AM or in Talamone at 9:50 AM.
Sailing along the coasts and the beautiful beaches of the Maremma Park: the guides onboard will explain the characteristics of the area and will be available to passengers for all information about the Tuscan Archipelago, the Maremma coastlines, and the cetaceans that often accompany our crossings.
At 11:00 AM, arrival at Giglio with the coastal route (10:00 AM on the day of the direct line, Tuesday): the next 6 hours will allow for individual or group tours with the guides of the Toscana Trekking group (see the advertisement below), which can be booked during the navigation. It is also possible to book the Island's Circumnavigation by Boat. At 1:00 PM, lunch will be available on board (reservation required).
At 5:00 PM, we will set sail to return to Talamone at 6:30 PM, and to Castiglione around 7:00/7:30 PM, after a close navigation (described by the guides) along the stunning coasts of Argentario and the Uccellina Park.

NB: The double time indications refer to the schedules of the two ships, which are slightly staggered. Reservations will be directed according to availability. The times are always indicative and subject to slight variations due to port traffic, currents, winds, and general weather conditions.

NB: in case of adverse sea conditions, the trip may be modified or canceled at the discretion of the Captain.

Toscana Trekking offers optional guided tours that can be booked with the guides during the navigation.

Visit to Giglio Castello - Walking excursion through the narrow streets of the charming medieval village surrounded by sturdy walls, immersing yourself in the evocative atmosphere of a history shaped by pirate raids and mining activities – duration 1h30′ – cost for adults 9€, (5-10 years) 5€, (plus the cost of the shuttle/bus to go up/down to the Castle (2-3€ per person each way)).

Guided Snorkeling - In the sea with mask and snorkel, from one of the island's access points to the cliffs, we will be able to observe the pristine seabeds and the numerous curious inhabitants of the coastal habitats, while discussing marine biology. Duration: 1h15′ – Cost: 15€ per person.

The navigation schedule may be subject to changes depending on maritime and port conditions. The company reserves the right to modify the arrival and departure times. The carrier declines any responsibility for damages caused to the passenger due to delays or failure to carry out the transport if the event is due to force majeure, adverse weather or marine conditions, strikes, and technical failures constituting force majeure, or other causes not attributable to the carrier, and in any case, in accordance with articles 402, 403, 404, and 408 of the Navigation Code and Regulation (EU) No. 1177/2010.
