After a short logistical stop, the guides divide us into two or three smaller groups that will proceed along the same route at a safe distance. Swimming will be allowed at the discretion of the Prison Administration.<\/p><p><strong>Recommended equipment<\/strong>: It is recommended to bring a small backpack with enough water; wear lightweight sports clothing and hiking or athletic shoes for walking. Visitors without appropriate footwear will NOT be allowed to participate in the visit. Clothing must be suitable for entry into a penitentiary.<\/p><p><strong>Recommended equipment<\/strong>To disembark at Gorgona, it is necessary to send your first name, last name (including maiden name for women), place and date of birth, and mobile phone number, which will be forwarded to the Penitentiary Administration for SDI checks. The personal data of passengers are subjected to checks by the Penitentiary Police in order to identify individuals with pending charges who will NOT be authorized to disembark.
